Sam Copeland, earned his NM title in 2012 with a peak USCF rating of 2310 and is a multi-time South Carolina State Champion. Beyond playing, Copeland founded Strategery: Chess and Games in 2014, offering coaching and resources, and now serves as Chess.com’s VP of Chess and Community, driving engagement through content creation, Twitch partnerships, and a popular YouTube channel on chess history and strategy, while continuing to compete in chess over the board and inspiring players globally via his 31,000+ Chess.com followers and active X presence as @Sam_Copeland.
