MEMBER EXCLUSIVE: An engaging one-day chess camp for paid members of the Columbia Chess Club. Led by FIDE Master instructor Kelvin Sanchez, this intimate session offers personalized guidance to help players of all skill levels improve their game. Throughout the day, participants will receive hands-on instruction, strategic tips, and interactive activities designed to enhance both their tactical thinking and overall understanding of chess.

Students are encouraged to submit a recent game for priority analysis during the camp (email mfkelvinsanchez@gmail.com), providing valuable feedback to sharpen their skills.

Unable to stay for the entire camp? No problem: participants are allowed to arrive and depart at their convenience.

Kelvin Sánchez is a FIDE Master (FM) who achieved the title in a remarkable 18 months, highlighting his rapid rise in competitive chess. Originally from Venezuela and now based in the United States, he maintains a peak FIDE rating of 2318 and remains an active tournament player, notably finishing as a 2024 SC Co-Champion and capturing the 2025 South Carolina Blitz Champion title.
